So excited to have recently re-defined the Jennifer McKenna Photography brand online experience! Here in this new site, you will now be able to find projects, portfolios, blog posts, and other photography service & business information all in one place. If you’ve read or followed my blog in the past, you’ll be the first to note that getting around to posting isn’t my… forté. But with this new all-in-one space that I’ve finally had the chance to create, I’m hoping to bring about a little more buzz =) I’d love to keep you in the loop about current and past shoots, as well as add a lot of content to both the site and blog section, to bring you more info and more inspiration.

More photos from the session with Suffolk County’s singing sisters. We had a great time braving the cold temperatures and finding ways to shoot indoors. Their town center (big beautiful brand new building) provided for some great light and interesting backdrops. Everyone who worked there was very kind in allowing us to get the shots we did. I’m sure the girls have been back to express our gratitude!

Last week I hit the city with musician Josh Lattanzi of The Candles to shoot some promo shots! After touring for years with other notable musicians and bands, Josh’s first solo project has launched him into a new phase where he is happy to announce his recent signing to The End Records. Now touring the Northeast and Midwest, he performs his latest songs with crowd favorites such as “Here or Gone” and “Anywhere tonight”. The Candles return home to play at Mercury Lounge on the 6th of March, so mark your calendars =) Here are some shots and outtakes from the set:

A teaser from today’s shoot out East… These girls are so lovely and sweet. I will without a doubt be diving into the details of these performers’ talents as I post their photos. For now, suffice it to say, their on the spot a capella vocals gained them 3 gigs in about 5min. Woo! Oh, and did I mention that they’re drop dead gorgeous 😉 I present you, Mary & Rose:

So time is flying, and it’s already well into December! Keeping up with some things – brought home my 1st Christmas tree this past week (weeee), and managed to schedule a date to cook Chris’ family some holiday food in quasi “apartment warming” fashion. However, I haven’t done a very good job at posting here (or anywhere! so blog readers, feel lucky). I hope you and yours are having a wonderful holiday season. We had our first snow storm this past weekend and it was delightful.
Last week I was also able to make it into the city to catch a fabulous show by the Candles and Hymns. Photos below, but you should LISTEN too! You will be happy you did.
To bring the week to a close was a spread of great food, music* and company at the beautiful Cannata household.
