To any new visitors, (or those checking back in to see how all is going!), you may notice that I haven’t been blogging at all this season!
I Have, however, been shooting (a Lot),
meeting wonderful people (industry and client side alike),
and providing the best service to clients that I can with my time:)
I may start blogging again during or shortly after the holidays, but it takes a backseat to other initiatives and tasks.
So whether you’re new or I know you well, Thank you for stopping by! I urge you to visit my social media pages for most relevant work and interaction, or to “stop by” by emailing or a call! I’d love to meet you and work with you, or to reconnect.
Hooray for the great work and sunshine-filled summer I’ve had (pouring a lot of heart and time into my business and you!) and Hooray for a gorgeous New England fall…
This October-November I will be taking on a limited number of family and kids portrait sessions (holiday cards and gifts!) and if you’d like to get in on the fun, please be in touch!

Memorial Day Weekend

Time is FLYING. I can’t believe it’s already June. My blog updates have fallen by the wayside (but only because I’ve been keeping busy!) On a ‘leisure time’ note, I spent last weekend in true summer style, with a bbq, a pool, and a handful of great company.
Being it Memorial Day weekend, I also took some time to be on my own, and visited a local cemetery. Took some time to reflect. This is something I often forget to do. It is easy to overlook how powerful this experience can be. And yet when inspired to do so, taking a timeout to explore a new place and be with one’s own thoughts is extremely fulfilling – at least in my experience.
You might find it odd that I took the time to walk the earth of a cemetery that held no known acquaintances. I can’t say I wasn’t a little perplexed myself. But once there, I was filled with reassurance; as the nature around me spoke. Here, in this place of respect for the deceased, was so much LIFE. I met nor passed by any other people, but I was so at peace with the beauty that was around me. I could hear bird songs and the breeze. I saw a chipmunk peek its head out from under a rose bush and shy away behind a headstone. I could hear the steady flow of water from a spigot, dropping into its pool below. I saw a fat happy bumblebee make its way around each blossom.
Being here, in this new place, on this day and whim, I felt a comforting notion that I was part of something bigger. Memorialized lives of those who have passed juxtaposed with the oasis into which I had stepped – one humming with life – made a strange amount of sense. On a final note: a belated ‘Thank you’ goes out to all men and women of service – past present and future – who give their lives so that we can have ours. I hope everyone had a safe and happy long weekend.
Here was mine:
Yes, I have seen a dog climb a ladder! …wait WHAT? yes. scroll back up 🙂

While a few chains of lights and baskets of scented pine cones now grace the apartment, I have yet to photo document this new holiday decor. However, heading up north for Thanksgiving allowed me to capture some images from my childhood home. What a joyful visit and time spent with people I love. Cold November winds were no match for late afternoon light and a warm happy hearth. I hope your holiday was just as grand.
